RCB vs GG WPL 2023: Sophie Devine now has the record of the highest individual run scorer in WPL with 36 ball 99 run knock. She missed out on her century by just one run, which could have been the first ever of this tournament. She smashed nine boundaries and eight sixes in her knock, smashing ball all around the park.

Chasing a mammoth total of 189 runs, Sophie Devine started the attack with an assaulting inning. She got through her fifty in just 20 balls. None of the Gujarat Giants bowler were able to restrict her boundaries, let alone her dismissal. She continued dealing in boundaries with two overs coming for as many as 25 and 24 runs respectively.
Riding on her knock, RCB was able to score 131 runs in just 10 overs with a loss of one wicket. Smriti Mandhana played a valiant knock as she also scored 37 off 31, hitting five boundaries and one maximum. However, the match was all about Sophie’s knock, since she was unfortunately dismissed on the score of 99. She was caught out by Ashwani Kumari, in Kim Garth’s over. With this knock she has also become the leading run scorer in WPL.
