What did Nasser Hussain say?
Nasser Hussain added that a fast bowler who is also an all-around player, like Hardik Pandya, may help the Indian Test squad and maintain the ideal balance when speaking on ICC Review. Speaking on Rishabh Pant, he mentioned that former Aussie Skipper Ricky Ponting takes updates on Indian batter’s health regularly since both of them are in touch. Nasser also stated that he hopes to see Rishabh in the Test cricket squad soon.
Nasser stated, “I was traveling with Ricky (Ponting) a lot during the Ashes, and he was texting Rishabh, and Rishabh was in the gym, and he was getting updates. He is a massive miss at the moment and hopefully, he will come back.” Rishabh Pant last played a Test match against Bangladesh on December 22, 2022, and has been out of the squad since then due to a devastating car accident.
