Rishabh Pant: Indian wicketkeeper batsman, Rishabh Pant, will be out for eight to nine months following the recent knee surgery. The 25-year-old had surgery at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital after being evacuated there from Dehradun’s Max hospital.
Rishabh Pant will be paid full IPL salary
In the meanwhile, Pant’s recuperation will be taken care of, and all of his medical costs would be covered, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
A recent development is that the BCCI will pay Pant’s whole 16 crore rupee IPL salary, since the Delhi Capitals captain is most likely to miss the entire competition. The centrally contracted wage for Pant will also be paid by BCCI. There are no official announcements for the same as of yet.
Notably, Pant experienced two injuries in his medial collateral ligament (MCL) and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) (MCL). Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala of the BCCI performed surgery on Pant at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. According to reports, Dr. Pardiwala will keep an eye on his recovery and development.
Rishabh Pant unlikely to play in 2023
Pant survived the terrible tragedy and underwent surgery successfully. The wicketkeeper batter will no longer be able to participate in any of the 2023 events, including the Cricket World Cup, the Asia Cup, and the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Pant, 25, sustained several injuries after his car crashed with a road barrier on the Delhi-Dehradun highway about 5:30 am on December 30.
Between Manglaur and Narsan in the Haridwar district of the state of Uttarakhand, a horrifying car accident occurred. Prior to being sent to Max Hospital in Dehradun, Pant was originally brought to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Center. He was travelling in his Mercedes car from New Delhi to his birthplace Roorkee.
