As they were showered with affection at the airport and outside the team hotel, Rohit Sharma and his players appeared to be in excellent spirits despite the lengthy travel.

As Virat Kohli arrived at the team hotel, he saw his sister and took a picture with the World Cup gold. A special cake was created for the winning Team India by the ITC Maurya in New Delhi.
