Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a remarkable feat in his illustrious career, scoring his 850th career goal during Al Nassr’s dominant 5-1 triumph against Al-Hazm in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday. The Portuguese superstar not only scored his sixth goal in the past three matches but also provided two assists, highlighting his exceptional all-around skills as Al Nassr secured their third straight league victory. He now has 850 goals, and has become the first to do so, with Messi following closesly (818 Goals).
After a challenging start with two losses in the opening season games, Al Nassr has undergone a remarkable resurgence, netting an impressive 14 goals in their most recent three matches. This resurgence has brought them within four points of the league leaders, Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo continues his golden run
Adding yet another milestone to his illustrious career, Ronaldo extended his lead over one of his fiercest rivals, Lionel Messi, by a margin of 34 goals. The Argentine superstar made a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami earlier this year and enjoyed a sensational start to his United States career, finding the net in nine consecutive matches.
Ronaldo, having scored six goals this season, now tops the league’s goal-scoring chart, with former Liverpool forward Mane following closely with five goals of his own. Taking to X, Ronaldo wrote, “Another great team performance! We keep improving. Let’s go @AlNassrFC.. 850 career goals and still counting!”

Ronaldo began his career at Sporting CP in Portugal but achieved recognition in professional football with the Premier League club Manchester United, where he also earned his first Ballon d’Or award. In 2021, Ronaldo made a sensational comeback to Old Trafford but departed from the team the following year due to a disagreement with manager Erik ten Hag.
