RR vs GT IPL 2023: The highly anticipated clash between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans is currently underway at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The home team won the toss and opt to bat first. Despite losing Jos Buttler’s wicket early, they made a good total at start, scoring 47/1 in five overs. Sanju Samson led the charge and slammed boudnaries to keep the momentum. In one such over, bowled by Hardik Pandya, he took on against the opposition’s skipper by slamming 4,6 on his first two balls.
Sanju Samson starts with big hits
Rajasthan Royals did not have an ideal start in the game as they lost star opener Jos Buttler in the second over of the game with a score of 8 runs in 6 balls after being caught out by Mohit Sharma. That over, too, was bowled by Hardik Pandya. Sanju Samson then stepped in the crease and RR scored 25/1 by the end of 3 overs.
Hardik Pandya came to bowl his second over of the match. GT hoped for another breakthrough but their hopes were shattered in the clash of captain versus captain. On the first ball, he threw a short-ball length ball but was slammed for a boundary over deep mid-wicket. He bowled a slower delivery next on the same length, however, once again Samson pulled it over mid-wicket for a 95m six. However, his inning was rather short-lived as he was dismissed for a score of 30 runs in 20 balls. The video of this clash is now going immensely viral on social media.
