Ruturaj Sets MPL on Fire: Ruturaj Gaikwad was in fine form in the first match of Maharastra Premier League 2023. His fiery inning of 64 runs in just 27 balls leads Puneri Bappa to a comfortable win against Kohlapur Tuskers.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was the statement signing by Puneri Bappa and was also made the captain of the team. He showcased that he is worthy of everything that Puneri Bappa did for him in the first match. Puneri Bappa remains the strongest contender to win MPL this time around.

Ruturaj Gaikwad was probable for India in World Test Championship Final 2023. He was supposed to travel with the Indian squad to England. But because of his marriage, he opted out of that, and Jaiswal was chosen in his place.
Everyone knows how talented Gaikwad is, and with performances like these, his chance will come. Gaikwad scored 64 runs from mere 27 balls. His fiery inning involved 5 boundaries and 5 sixes. He was on fire from the start.

Puneri Bappa cruised to a comfortable win
Maharastra Premier League return after a decade was a fiery one. MPL was the first T20 league organized by a state organization in 2009. After three seasons, it went to a halt. And it made its return yesterday after more than a decade.
While batting first, Kohlapur Tuskers could only make 144 runs in the given 20 overs. Ankit Bawne played a fiery inning of 72 runs in 57 deliveries with 3 sixes. While chasing, Puneri Bappa was able to chase down the target in just 14.1 overs.
Other than Ruturaj, Pavan Shah also scored a half-century. He made 57 runs off 48 deliveries with 6 boundaries and a six.
