SA VS NZ ICC ODI World Cup 2023: South Africa has been in brilliant batting form in the current World Cup so far. Whenever they bat first, they have successfully crossed the 300-run mark. Their average score while batting first is 348 runs and that is completely iconic.
Their batsmen are in just brilliant form and are hitting boundaries for fun. Quinton De Kock, Henrich Klassen, and Aiden Markram are just tearing down every bowling lineup and hitting everything they receive for six.
When you add players like Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller to that lineup, it is downright scary for the bowling team. That is how they have already broken the record for most sixes in a single edition of the World Cup when they hit 15 against New Zealand.
It Is Raining Sixes!
The Proteas hit 15 sixes against the Kiwis during the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match. They want to confirm their place in the Semi-Finals of the tournament and this is the best way to do so.
The English team hit 76 sixes in their World Cup-winning campaign in 2019 to set a new record. It took them 11 innings to set that record while the Proteas had already broken that in their 7th inning.
South African team started this match with 67 maximums and finished their innings with 82 sixes to their name. If they keep playing like that, they can easily the the 100 mark by the end of the group stages.
SA VS NZ ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Intense Match Ahead
The Proteas were once again sensational while batting first. They scored 357 runs and now New Zealand has to make 358 to win. It is a big target but considering the Kiwi’s batting lineup, they can very well do it.
