SA20 2023: The first game in the South African T20 league, often known as SA20, featured David Miller’s Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town of Rashid Khan. Skipper Rashid Khan had requested Paarl Royals to bat first after winning the toss. The fact that Rashid Khan chose to bowl first boded well for MI because Jofra Archer scored the first wicket of the PR innings in the third over. Wihan Lubbe was dismissed by Archer after the batter was caught by Goerge Linde.
Jos Buttler smashes Archer for a stunning six
Buttler, the second opener for the Royals, took his time to get comfortable and kept one end intact. As he went on Jofra Archer and hit a paddle shot for a maximum score, the England batsman finally let go some powerful smashes. Buttler moved over his stumps to make room for himself before glidingly helping the ball over the fine leg boundary on the second delivery of Archer’s second over.
Archer looked surprised and stunned after seeing his teammate and close friend hitting a beautiful six like that. Fans too couldn’t control their excitement after seeing the majestic six. Some also called it as one of the best shots in the tournament. Archer’s comeback to the cricket was eagerly awaited as he was out for many months after suffering from a long injury.
