Afridi quickly realised his mistake, he opted for a handshake instead. The incident was caught on camera and went viral on social media, with many fans finding it amusing.

Earlier, a photograph of Gautam Gambhir and his former rival Shahid Afridi shaking hands during the toss went viral, which garnered mixed reactions from netizens. Both players were known for their heated on-field confrontations during their playing days, making the moment a surprising one for fans.’

In the tournament opener of the LLC Masters, Asia Lions emerged victorious over India Maharajas by a margin of nine runs. Despite the latter’s skipper Gautam Gambhir’s leading knock of 54, the team failed to chase the impressive total of 165 runs set by the Lions. The Maharajas will have the opportunity to redeem themselves in their next match against the World Giants, led by Aaron Finch, scheduled for March 11 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
