Shakib Al Hasan: Shakib Al Hasan, captain of the Bangladesh Test and T20I teams, lost his composure and assaulted a spectator during a promotional event following his team’s first T20I match against Jos Buttler’s England on March 9 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Shakib was engaged in some commercial promotional activities three hours after the game ended, and he was surrounded by a large number of admirers. Shakib discussed Bangladesh’s performance in their match with England.

Shakib found it difficult to avoid the supporters despite the high level of security. A fan allegedly attempted to remove the veteran all-cap rounder’s just as he was ready to enter his car, according to reports. Shakib whacked the fan with his headgear out of rage. For the past few years, Shakib has been at the centre of a lot of scandals. Shakib confronted the leg umpire during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023 because he had failed to call an overhead wide.

Back in 2021, Shakib became enraged with the umpire during the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), and as a result, he kicked and broke the stumps on the ground. The second Twenty20 International is scheduled on Sunday, March 12 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, and Shakib will likely take the field then.
