Shikhar Dhawan: In a huge turn of events, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan can make a comeback to the men in blues in absolute style. Many reports have come out that Shikhar Dhawan is on the verge of returning to the Indian squad. Not only that, but the report also suggests that he can lead team India as well.

India team has a packed schedule till 2026 now. India will play a total of 141 matches across all formats in these 2 years. Because of that, BCCI plans to make two teams to maintain the players’ workload.

India is set to play Asia Cup 2023, World Cup 2023, and some major bilateral series. But between that, the return of the Asian Games will also be there. The tournament will be played from September 23 to October 8.

The Asian Games were supposed to happen last year but were delayed because of coronavirus. The latest dates of the Asian Games will collide with the first-choice team’s World Cup 2023 practice. And because of that, BCCI has decided to field a ‘B’ team in this competition.

Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will be the favorites of the tournament. Indian women’s team finished runner-ups in last year’s commonwealth games after losing to Australia in the finals. This will be their chance to secure that gold for their country.
