Mohsin Khan: A female police constable has made startling accusations against Imran Khan, the brother of Lucknow Super Giants bowler Mohsin Khan, claiming that he engaged in a fraudulent marriage under the guise of converting to Buddhism, as part of an alleged case of love jihad. The complainant, currently stationed at the Shivkuti police station in Prayagraj, has registered a case against Multan, her father-in-law, and Mohsin Khan, her brother-in-law, for alleged incidents of unnatural rape.
What did the victim say?
She reached out to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, seeking help in a video message. Upon approaching the police to file a complaint, the victim disclosed that they displayed reluctance in registering the case. She further alleged that the police deliberately did not write the names of Mohsin Khan and his father from the First Information Report (FIR) due to their connections with the Lucknow Super Giants pacer.
The female constable has made an allegation stating that three years ago, Mohsin Khan sexually assaulted her during a time when his brother was not present at home. The victim has also revealed that she is also a mother of a three-year-old child.
She stated, “Imran had converted to Buddhism just to trap me and the entire family of the accused is involved in this conspiracy. Even after converting to Buddhism, he continued to go to mosques to offer namaz. He also took me to mosques in Ajmer and Barabanki. When I was pregnant, I was on childcare leave and went to Moradabad. In Moradabad, my brother-in-law Mohsin Khan, who did not play anywhere at that time but now plays in the IPL for Lucknow Super Giants, raped me that time.”
Continuing further, she stated “There was a birthday party at home. When everybody left and my husband also went out for his night shift, my brother-in-law raped. I also have photo evidence of his presence in that party.”
IPL performance by Mohsin Khan
In the previous edition of the IPL, Mohsin Khan made his debut and showcased a commendable performance by securing 14 wickets in nine matches. With an average of 14.07 and an impressive economy rate of 5.97, he displayed his bowling prowess. However, in the IPL 2023, he was unable to participate in most matches due to a surgical procedure he underwent last year to address blood clots in his bowling shoulder.
