Shubman Gill: Team India’s opener for the upcoming New Zealand series, Gill, has played a stormy innings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored a ferocious 126 runs in a match for the Punjab against Karnataka. His century included nine sixes and 11 fours.
The opening quarterfinal of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy included a superb performance from Shubman Gill. He made 126 runs off of 55 balls faced. He started the innings as an opener and batted slowly at first, but after spending time at the crease, he altered up and hit balls in every direction of the field.
Earlier, Karnataka had won the toss and elected to bowl first. Punjab has scored 225 runs while batting in 20 overs. Karnataka now requires to score 226 runs to win the game.
Shubman Gill recently got the opportunity to play in the ODI and T20 series against New Zealand. After the T20 World Cup, the Indian squad will tour New Zealand and play three T20 matches and as many ODIs.
