Haris Rauf: Welsh Fire emerged victorious against Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred 2023 Men’s tournament during Thursday evening’s clash, securing a six-wicket win. One of the best highlight of the intense match was Haris Rauf’s lethal bowl that completely bamboozled Liam Livingstone, as he eventually got bowled out.

Haris Rauf bamboozles Liam
Choosing to bat first, Birmingham Phoenix had a tough time, reaching a moderate score of 112 runs with the loss of seven wickets. Liam Livingstone took charge of the batting effort, accumulating 28 runs from 20 deliveries. Haris Rauf was the architect behind Livingstone’s exit, employing a fierce delivery that dismantled the middle stump. The Pakistani fast bowler delivered a skillfully placed ball, tempting Livingstone to crouch down and try an attacking shot across the crease.
Nevertheless, his timing was a bit imprecise, resulting in a space between his bat and pad. The ball adeptly navigated through that opening, disturbing the stumps and leaving Livingstone in astonishment. As a reply, Welsh Fire rapidly reached the goal in just 85 balls, with Stephen Eskinazi at the forefront, accumulating 43 runs from 18 deliveries.

Rauf has secured five wickets across five matches for Welsh team in the ongoing season. His compatriot from Pakistan has managed to capture six wickets. As for their position in The Hundred 2023 Men standings, Welsh Fire currently hold the third spot with five points.
