SL vs PAK Asia Cup 2023: While the first phase of the second Super 4 match belonged to hosts Sri Lanka, Bangladesh made a massive comeback at the start of second phase.
The first 20 overs belonged to Sri Lanka as they lost only 1 wicket and even crossed 100 runs by the 22nd over. But Bangladesh made a huge comeback as their qualification hopes lies on them winning this match.
Not only they took two quick wickets but completely stopped the flow of runs. The run rate that was once touching 5 RPO, started going down close to 3 RPO. This is a huge comeback that have brought Bangladesh back into the game.

The comeback started in 24th over when Shoriful Islam took the wicket of opener Pathum Nissanka. Nissanka was struggling from the start and was nowhere near being comfortable on the pitch but played a decent innings anyway.
Kusal Mendis was turning out to be real danger man as he completed his half century and was accelerating the innings. It was looking like he won’t get out as the Bangladesh team has dropped two of his catches already.
But Shoriful Islam strike again in his next over as Mendis tired to be cheeky. He hit a wide bouncer with an Upper Cut but straight in the hands of Taskin Ahmed. And he did not made any mistakes this time.
