SL vs PAK Asia Cup Final 2022: The Asia Cup final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is being played at the Dubai International Ground today. Sri Lanka will be eyeing to win their fourth title. On the other hand, Pakistan will be eyeing to win their third title. Since the start of the match, Pakistan has dominating the whole match. At first Pakistan won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat, after that the Pakistan bowlers did not give any chance to the Sri Lankan batsmen to stay on the pitch.
Sri Lanka lost their first wicket in the very first over. Kushal Mendis, has been a great opener for Sri Lanka throughout this tournament. But he got out on a duck in today’s match and Pakistan got the first wicket on the third ball of the match.
Pakistan’s bowling attack dominated the match
Pakistan’s bowling has been sharp throughout the match. Kushal Mendis had a duck. Dhananjay and Nissanka tried to form a partnership but Harris Rauf broke that partnership on the second ball of the third over. Captain Babar Azam took the catch and Nissanka had to return to the pavilion after scoring just 8 runs.
The depth of Sri Lanka’s batting could not last long in front of Pakistan. Sri Lanka’s wickets kept falling continuously. Gunathilaka could only score 1 run and Shanaka too returned to the pavilion without doing much. However, Dhananjay (27) and Hasaranga (36) strengthened the team.
Sri Lanka made a huge total
On one hand the Sri Lankan team was falling apart. But Bhanuka Rajapaksa kept his wicket and with the help of his half-century, Sri Lanka got a score that can be defended against Pakistan. Despite Pakistan’s excellent bowling, Sri Lanka set a splendid target of 170 runs.
Harish Rauf bowled the most brilliant bowling for Pakistan. He took 3 for 29 in 4 overs and prevented Sri Lanka from building a partnership. Shadab Khan took 1 for 28 in 4 overs and Iftikhar Ahmed took 1 for 21 in 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers could not take wickets but they also kept the Sri Lankan batsmen tied. Naseem Shah and Hasnain proved to be quite expensive. Hasnain conceded 41 runs in 4 overs. Naseen Shah gave 40 runs in 4 overs but one wicket came in his account.
