She secured the first run, hit the first four, the first six, and also registered the first fifty of the competition, all coming from her bat. Mandhana’s outstanding innings of 55 runs off 36 balls, featuring 6 fours and 2 sixes, garnered significant attention. Her brilliant performance earned her the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
In addition to Mandhana’s impressive performance, Maya Bosher and Daniel Wyatt also played valuable innings of 31 and 27 runs, respectively, contributing to their team’s total of 157 in 100 balls. On the other hand, Bryony Smith shined for Trent Rockets, taking 2 wickets.

Nat Seaver Brunt displayed a valiant effort for Trent Rockets in the match but unfortunately lacked support from the other end. Despite her heroic innings of 49 runs off 31 balls, featuring 7 fours and 1 six, the team faced defeat in their first match. On the other hand, her partner Harmanpreet Kaur managed to score 22 runs in 17 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six.
