SRH vs PBKS IPL 2023: Only a few batters have the ability to strike the ball consecutively for big hits. In the recent times, SRH batter Rahul Tripathi has displayed the same consistency. In today’s match against Punjab Kings, he shifted the momentum completely by hitting five boundaries in the span of six balls he faced.
Rahul Tripathi goes berserk
After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, the SRH team did a commendable job and restricted the visitors to just 143 runs, despite Shikhar scoring 99*. However, since the total was still lower and was just defendable, the PBKS bowler showed valiant effort in controlling the momentum. They were also quite successful in their effort as after 8 overs, SRH had only 43/1 on board.
However, just when the ninth over closed towards its end, he smashed two back-to-back boundaries off Rahul Chahar. Then, in the next over, which was being bowled by Harpreet Brar, he took on to the same assault. As soon as he got on to the strike on the second ball, he pushed the ball but that went in dot. Then, it was all carnage as he then smashed three boundaries on the next three balls, easing ou the pressure. 13 runs came off that over as SRH ended 10 overs with 67/2 on board.
