Sri Lanka head coach Mickey Arthur advised the national team to stay away from social media after fans started trolling the national team following their string of defeats overseas and home as well.
Sri Lanka have lost four consecutive ODI series recently and the team is looking dull and not that strong as it has always been.
“Some of the stuff listed there is beyond comprehensible,” Arthur said before the start of the three-match T20I series against India.
“My advice to the guys is just staying off it. You get absolutely hammered on it,” Arthur said. “There is only one way to handle it and that is not to look.
“So my best advice is just to get over it because there are some idiots there who think they know exactly what’s going on, when in fact they know nothing.”
“It was actually a very good debate, no need to make mischief out of it!” Arthur said on Twitter.
Sri Lanka will lock horns with India now in the 3-match T20I series starting July 25.
