T20 World Cup 2022: As a nation of a billion cricket fans celebrated India’s thrilling victory over Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup on Sunday, sadness hit the family of a man who passed away while watching the suspenseful match.
While watching the cricket match, a man in the Assam state of northeastern India experienced a heart attack. According to sources, the guy, who has been named as Bitu Gogoi, 34, is from the Sivasagar area.
The incident happened on Sunday night when Gogoi and his companions went to watch the much awaited India-Pakistan match in a nearby movie theatre.
Gogoi’s relatives said that the 34-year-old was in good health and had no medical problems. He was taken to a local hospital right away, but the doctors declared him dead. Doctors think that Gogoi’s heart arrest was caused by the match’s high noise pollution.
In their T20 World Cup opening against bitter rivals Pakistan, India defeated them by a tally of four wickets thanks in large part to Virat Kohli’s stunning unbeaten 82-run innings. In one of their most famous victories against Pakistan, India snatched victory with the final ball of their innings in front of a packed 90,000-plus spectator audience at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.
The game was full of ups and downs for both teams until India, needing 16 runs off the final over to win, saw Ashwin maintain his composure and hit the last run off the penultimate ball.
