T20 World Cup 2022: On Wednesday at the Adelaide Oval, Zimbabwe played against the Netherlands. The Dutch overcame Zimbabwe with two overs remaining and a margin of victory of five wickets.
Zimbabwe simply was unable to put their game together, particularly with the bat. Within just the opening six overs, they lost three wickets. Sean Williams and Sikandar Raza made the rescue action pretty clear.
Before Williams was bowled out, both the players partnered for 48 runs. Raza then decided to focus on making rapid runs by himself. But in his attempt to do so, he also fell, and Zimbabwe was dismissed for 117 runs.
The Netherlands did stumble a little bit while chasing, but they eventually succeeded. Zimbabwe also had a poor day in the field at the same time. Occasionally, they blew crucial opportunities.
On one point, one of the Zimbabwe fielders lost his trousers while attempting to defend a boundary, which made the situation pretty amusing. Luke Jongwe delivered a low full toss in the 15th over of the Netherlands’ batting innings.
The batsman flicked it in the direction of deep mid-wicket, Max O’ Dowd. The fielder, Milton Shumba, went for a catch after sensing a chance, but the ball fell in front of him. It then made a little bend and began to sprint toward the border.
The fielder attempted to stop it but was unsuccessful. Additionally, when he slid to save the ball, he lost his trouser, which fell to the ground at his knees.
