England beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets to register their second win of the ongoing T20 World Cup on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi.
Bowling first, England restricted Bangladesh for a total of 124 runs with top-class bowling from Tymal Mills (3/27), Liam Livingstone (2/15) and Moeen Ali (2/18). Later Jason Roy who was playing his 50th T20I game scored 61 runs to England to victory.
After the match, Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah showed his dissapointment with the way they batted. He said that the side needs to reassess a few things in batting in the upcoming matches of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
“We were very disappointed with the way we batted. We have more skillful hitters than power-hitters. I think we need to reassess a few things in batting,” said Mahmudullah at the post-match presentation.
The Bangladesh skipper also felt that if his team gets a good start then they can capitalize on it.
“We didn’t start well and we didn’t get any partnerships. If we get a good start, we can capitalize. It gets difficult on a wicket like this if we don’t get a good start,” he said.
Bangladesh will face West Indies in their next clash of the T20 World Cup.
