T20I World Cup 2022: All of India’s matches at the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 will be live streamed in INOX Leisure Ltd.’s cinema halls across the nation. In this regard, it has signed a contract with the International Cricket Council (ICC), according to a statement from INOX Leisure.
INOX will broadcast all of Team India’s group matches, beginning with their opening match on October 23 against Pakistan and continuing through the semifinals and championship game.
Broadcast to happen in more than 25 cities
The statement read, “The live matches will be broadcast on INOX multiplexes in more than 25 cities.” The Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup begins on October 22 and runs through October 16, 2018. The championship game will be held in Melbourne on November 13.
Anand Vishal, the chief operating officer of INOX Leisure, said: “By screening cricket in cinemas, we are bringing together the thrill of the giant screen experience and thunderous sound with the most loved sport in our country, that is cricket. The excitement and emotions of the World Cup would add to this combination, resulting into a virtual treat for cricket lovers.”
INOX has a total seating capacity of 1.57 lakh seats across India and operates in 74 cities with 165 multiplexes and 705 screens. INOX Leisure and PVR announced their intention to merge in March of this year, creating the biggest multiplex network in the nation.
