Nitish Kumar Reddy opened up about his controversial statement regarding MS Dhoni and how it has been taken out of context.

Nitish Kumar Reddy has been the center of controversy for the past few days. The worst thing is that it was not his fault, rather his statement was taken out of context and it led to him being scrutinized online.

The IPL 2024 Emerging Player Of The Year was asked which one of mentality or technique is more important. The 21-year-old answered the question brilliantly with a great example.

He gave the example of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in the situation but it was taken out of context by various fan pages on social media. Since then, Nitish has attracted various negative comments and insults have been hurled towards him.

Statement Of Nitish Kumar Reddy

While being asked about mentality and technique Nitish stated “Dhoni has talent, in the sense that, talent is there but the technique is not there. Dhoni doesn’t have Virat Kohli’s range of techniques. But he is a legend because he knows his strengths and gameplay. That’s why he became a champion.”

The interview was taken out of context with various pages and news outlets only used the first part of the statement. The clip went viral over the internet in no time and made it seem like the youngster was criticizing Dhoni.

This has led to various fans commenting and insulting Nitish on his Instagram profile. The situation escalated so much that the Sunrisers Hyderabad player had to clear it by putting up a story.
