29-year-old has shared the news of his engagement on his Instagram. He has shared his engagement picture just before leaving for UAE for the upcoming season of IPL 2020.

Tamil Nadu cricketer Vijay Shankar made his T20I debut against Sri Lanka in Colombo in March 2018. After this, he made his ODI debut in Melbourne in January 2019.
Vijay Shakkar was part of Team India in ODI World Cup 2019, but due to injury he had to withdraw from the team in between. He was given preference over Ambati Rayudu in the World Cup team, which was heavily criticized.
