Team India: India was eliminated from the Australia T20 World Cup after theirhumiliating loss against England. The Men in Blue won’t have much time to follow it, though, as they have to get to New Zealand for two white-ball matches with the Kiwis. For the Indians, the New Zealand series is just the start of a busy schedule leading up to the IPL in march of the following year.
For the New Zealand series, which gets underway on November 18, the Indian team management has decided to rest top players, including captain Rohit Sharma. In the shortest version of the game, Hardik Pandya will captain the team, while Shikhar Dhawan will do so for the ODI series against the New Zealanders.
India to tour Bangladesh after NZ series
India will visit Bangladesh for three One-Day Internationals and two Test matches after their tour of New Zealand. For the series against the other subcontinental team, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli are expected to rejoin the team.
The following three T20Is and three ODIs will be played at home by Rohit Sharma’s team against Sri Lanka, then two white ball series against the Blackcaps, three T20Is, and three ODIs. Australia will make an important visit of the Indian subcontinent after the series against the Kiwis. A three-game One-Day International (ODI) series between Australia and India will be followed by the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which consists of four Test matches.
Team India eyeing for Test Championship in 2023
As significant Test Championship points will be on the line, the Test series is crucial for both teams. The outcome of the Test series will be crucial because both teams are vying for a spot in the 2023 World Test Championship final, which will take place at the Oval in London.
