Virat Kohli: Former Australia all-rounder Brad Hogg came out and just outright praised the former Indian skipper. Hogg was interviewed regarding the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 and he gave some honest answers.
The former Rajasthan Royals player was also confused regarding the playing XI of India and stated that he missed Rishabh Pant. He further stated that KL Rahul needs to step up in his absence.
Hogg also thinks India is the biggest title contender and thinks that Australia is the only team that can rival them. The all-rounder also opened up about the best cricket shot he has ever seen.
Brilliant Virat Kohli
According to Hogg, the six that Virat Kohli hit on Haris Rauf at the 2022 T20 World Cup is the best shot he has ever seen. He stated that Virat turned that on in that match and hitting that was not an easy task.
Hogg further stated that how important he will be for India in the World Cup 2023. But is also aware of the pressure that Kohli must be under. According to Hogg, Kohli needs to get in the right frame of mind.
“I think we’re gonna see a brilliant Virat Kohli on home soil in a World Cup. He wants it, and that’s a big danger for opposition teams.” Hogg Stated.

According to the all-rounder, only the Australian team can defeat India. He states this because of the recent form the Aussies are in. He mentioned the victory in the WTC final and in the Ashes 2023 series as well. According to him, the Aussies are switched on and have an amazing batting lineup.
