UFC 292: UFC 292 saw the rise of a new king of the UFC Bantamweight division as he defeated Aljamain Sterling via a TKO. A picture-perfect knockout that would have made all the past champions proud.
The card was stacked with Sean O’Mailey being the main card of the show. After becoming the breakout star in 2017, Sean has been on a constant rise in the company. And Sunday was his crowning moment.
The card also featured Zhang Weili in the co-main event. Zhang successfully defended her title in this second reign and is looking unstoppable at the moment. Zhang defeated rising star Amanda Lemos to continue her reign.
A Brilliant KnockOut
It was the end of the road for Sean as he has been hunting for the crown since 2017. And when the opportunity finally arrived, he did not let go of the moment. It was the biggest stage for the ‘Suga Show’ and he made sure no one would be disappointed.
It took Sean just 51 seconds in the second round to take care of Aljamain via a brilliant TKO. A quick right punch on the jaw followed by vicious elbows made sure that Sean is the new champion.
In the second main event, Zhang Weili defeated Amanda Lemos via unanimous decision to retain her Strawweight Championship. It was a brilliant match as both fighters were fighting till their last breath.
UFC 292 Results
Other results saw Ian Machado Garry defeating Neil Magny via a unanimous decision. Mario Bautista and Marlon Vera also won their bout against Da’Mon Blackshear and Pedro Munhoz via unanimous decisions.
Brad Tavares defeated Chris Weidman in the Middleweight division whereas Gregory Rodrigues knocked Denis Tiuliulin in the first round only. Kurt Holobaugh won his bout against Austin Hubbard via submission and Brad Katona defeated Cody Gibson via unanimous decision.
