UFC 310: Chael Sonnen Says "Know The Likely Outcome Of This Contest…!" Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Garry's Showdown Hots Up

UFC 310: Shavkat Rakhmonov faces the number seven fighter welterweight Ian Garry on UFC 310 co-main event this Sunday. The fight which come after the cancellation of Shavkat's title fight against the Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad. Moreover, there has been lot of talk in the buildup to this five round co-main event. In his recent video Chael Sonnen said that "You have two guys that know the outcome or at least, the likely outcome of this contest." Let's have a closer look at his statement and this matchup.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel Chael Sonnen gave his thoughts on the upcoming co-main event Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Garry from UFC 310. In this video he said "We have two guys that know the outcome or at least the likely outcome of this contest." This comes after the news that Shavkat Rakhmonov used to win against Ian Garry in their training sessions. In the video the former middleweight title contender also added that Shavkat had a title shot and by accepting a fight against Ian, that is now up for grabs. Moreover, he emphasizes on Ian's popularity among fans and how the challenge of this matchup should warrants a belt on the line. He ends the video by explaining how there is a problem making the Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall fight due to fighter demands but this co-main event takes place without major demands.

A Closer Look at UFC 310 Co-main Event

Shavkat Rakhmonov vs Ian Garry is an interesting matchup in the upcoming UFC 310 card. The major reason for the hype being both fighter's undefeated status, along with their history as training partners. Adding to this hype is the title contender ship which is also on the line post the cancellation of Belal vs Shavkat due to Belal facing an infection.

Adding to the hype is the obvious question mark in Ian Garry's game, his grappling. During the buildup to this fight, there have been reservations regarding the grappling defense of the otherwise quick and elusive striker Ian. There isn't much information available about Ian's history with grapplers and moments that can make the audience believe in his skill set as a grappler.

It will interesting to see how this matchup shapes up as the fight week continues. Will we see major trash talking between the two fighters? Only time will tell.
