According to Thakur, protesting grapplers met with him and discussed a 7-year-old complaint alleging alleged sexual misconduct by Brij Bhushan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). He stated, in reference to Brij Bhushan Singh’s detention, which has been the subject of much speculation, “Neither are we saving anyone, nor would we desire to save anyone. A fair probe is desired by the Indian government. Never will we give up on this. ‘The day the three wrestlers who protested spoke, I cancelled all of my tours and returned to Delhi. We got together for two days straight. The players’ grievance dates back seven years. The wrestlers informed me they wanted to let you know about this so you could punish them,’ Thakur added.

The investigation by the committee was fair.” Additionally, he mentioned that the committee, which has already held 14 meetings, is led by a six-time world champion. “Every player had the chance to maintain his position. We gave the Delhi Police the report when it was received. The police reported it to the Supreme Court and filed a FIR,” he claimed. The wrestlers should receive justice, he continued.
