UPW vs MI WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians have continued their streak of winning as they defeated Up Warriroz by eight wickets at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on 12th of March. However, during a peak moment of the chase, an amusing incident occurred that left everyone amused. Actually, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur survived a close call of being bowled as the bails lit up but didn’t fall.
Harmanpreet Kaur survives close call
In the 11th over of Mumbai Indians’ innings, Anjali Sarvani, the pacer, bowled a slower delivery down leg-side that grazed the stump and lit up the bail. The bail moved from its groove, but it did not fall, which resulted in Harmanpreet Kaur’s reprieve. UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy started celebrating behind the stumps, but soon realized that her counterpart had survived by the narrowest of margins. During this incident, Harmanpreet was on 7, and she had Nat Sciver-Brunt accompanying her at the crease.
Harmanpreet Kaur then went on to score an unbeaten 53 runs off 33 balls, hitting nine boundaries and a six, leading her side to the victory. The video of the moment has now become viral on social media as cricket enthusiasts were amused after seeing the clip.

This is also the fourth consecutive victory of Mumbai Indians, making them the table toppers. They are inching closer to the later stages of the tournament. This has been possible due to the constant performance by every department of the team.
