UPW vs RCB WPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently battling it out against the UP Warriorz in Mumbai to stay relevant in the tournament. A defeat today will officially put them out of the knockout race. RCB won the toss and opted to bat first and had a good start as they sent half of the team to the pavilion at just 31 runs. However, they gave a fight back and continued to score good but Ellyse Perry once again turned around the game with two wickets in single over.
Ellyse Perry gets two in three
RCB earlier dismissed five of the batters for a score of just 31 runs in 8.1 overs and had great control of the inning as they continued to pursuit for the maiden win. However, Grace Harris and Deepti Sharma tried turning things around once again with her batting skills. At 15 overs, they had scored 100 runs with both the batter in good strike rate.
However, the skipper Smriti Mandhana called Ellyse Perry to bowl the next over just after the strategic timeout. Ellyse showing her worth, dismissed Deepti (22 off 19) just on the first ball and the dangerous-looking Grace Harris on the third ball of the over as she was dismissed for a score of 46 off 32.
Continuing her wrath, she came to bowl again in the 18th over and dismissed Shweta Sehrawat for 6 off 6 on the second ball. This tumbed down the score of UP Warriorz to 112/8 in 17.2 overs.
