‘Used To Watch Him 100 Times’ Rohit Sharma Names The Toughest Bowler He Has Faced! Read Here

Rohit Sharma

After smashing bowlers all around the world, Rohit Sharma has finally opened up about the bowler who has troubled him the most.

Rohit Sharma: Hitman has beaten down many bowlers in his career. He has smashed everyone for sixes and boundaries. No matter how much he got out, he always used to come back stronger against the same bowler.

Rohit Sharma is a modern-day greats and one of the best openers of all time. When you open you have to face every bowler and to thrive there, you have to smash everyone. You might think that no bowler can trouble him.

But Hitman himself accepted the fact that there was a bowler that troubled him very much. He used to watch the bowler 100 times before a match, just so that he could tackle him. The Indian skipper had no shame in accepting that fact.

Watched Him 100 Times

When asked about the bowler who used to trouble him, Rohit Sharma named Dale Steyn without missing a beat. He called the former Proteas bowler a legend and stated that it was nice to come against him for the challenge.

“I had watched Dale Steyn’s videos 100 times before I went to bat. He is a legend and what he has achieved is just superb to watch. It was nice to come up against him, not that I had huge success against him, but I enjoyed my battle,” Rohit stated.

He further stated “He is quick. He used to swing the ball at that pace, which is not easy. It is quite tough. And he was a fierce competitor. He just went out there wanting to do everything, to win every game and every session, so it was nice to come up against him”

Dismissed Rohit Sharma Once!

Even though the Indian skipper stated that he had trouble against Dale Steyn, the Proteas has only dismissed Rohit once in his whole career. The dismissal came in 2013 during India’s tour of South Africa.

The ironic thing is that Steyn has also stated that he had trouble bowling to Rohit Sharma. “I always struggled to bowl against Rohit. He is a phenomenal batter, leading the team from the front,” Steyn had stated in the past.
