Varun Chakravarthy

Varun Chakravarthy posted a cryptic message on Instagram story as he was left out of the Indian squad for Zimbabwe tour.

The Indian team will enter a new era right after the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The five-match tour of Zimbabwe will mark a major point in this new era as it will give a chance to so many new youngsters.

As BCCI announced the squad for the tour in July, it completely consisted of youngsters with Shubman Gill leading the line. Many youngsters like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Nitish Reddy were given a chance, but there were a few missing names.

The two most prominent names that were missing were Rajat Pattidar and Varun Chakravarthy. While we haven’t heard anything from Pattidar’s side, Chakravarthy posted a cryptic message on his Instagram profile that raises quite a concern.

Varun Chakravarthy Cryptic Message

Varun had an impressive IPL 2024 and was the second in the line for the purple cap after Harshal Patel. The KKR spinner was also one of the most economic and most efficient bowlers in the tournament.

Not getting selected even after such great performances would have surely hurt and Chakravarthy did not hold back in showing his dissent over the announced squad.

He posted two stories, the first one read “I wish I had a paid PR agency!” While the message was cryptic everyone knew what the leg spinner was referring to. His second story gave more insight into his state of mind.

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference,” read the caption of the second story from Chakaravarthy.
