Vinesh Phogat has been showered with love from all corners since she returned from the Paris Olympics in 2024. She received a hero’s welcome upon arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Hundreds of fans surrounded her as she came out of the airport. The crowd welcomed her with open hearts and Vinesh broke down receiving all that love. Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia were also present at the airport.
Now, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, another wholesome video of Vinesh has surfaced online. The video features her alongside her brother as both of them are celebrating this festival.
Raksha Bandhan Celebration
The video was shot in Babali, where Vinesh and her family reside. It features Vinesh and her brother celebrating Raksha Bandhan and you can see the sister pulling her brother’s leg.
Vinesh playfully stated “I am almost 30 years old. Last year he gave me Rs 500. After that this (points to a bundle of currency notes). He has earned this much money only in his whole life (jokingly), which he has given to me.”
Her brother could not help but give a warm smile over the statement as both the siblings embraced each other. After such tough weeks, it must be nice for Vinesh to be between her loved ones.
What’s Next For Vinesh Phogat?
After the disappointment in the Paris Olympics 2024, Vinesh retired from wrestling. On reaching her home, she stated that she might consider returning but the chances are slim.
The two-time World Championships medallist wishes that someone from her village also represent India on the World Stage. She wants someone from the village to break her international record.
