Viral IPL Video: Pat Cummins has played some very remarkable innings in his career. However, one of his most talked about came in an IPL match against Mumbai Indians. The star Aussie player once smashed 56* off just 15 balls. He achieved the feat last year while playing for KKR against Mumbai Indians.
Pat Cummins leaves MI shocked
His innings resulted in a shell-shocked Mumbai Indians who would have never thought that they will be blown up by such a knock. During the match in which Kolkata was chasing a target of 162, their top and middle order struggled to provide significant support and they lost wickets frequently, as has been the case in other games. By the time Pat Cummins came out to bat, Mumbai had gained a considerable advantage, and Kolkata had been reduced to 101/5 in 13.1 overs.
Earlier in the game, he picked up two wickets in Mumbai’s innings. However, he started hitting the ball as soon as he entered the crease. What followed later was a complete havoc in the stadium. In his knock, Pat smashed six maximums and four boundaries, playing with a strike rate of 373.33. He also scored the joint fastest fifty in the tournament history.
