Viral IPL Video: There have been several innings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) overs the years which have not only won the match for the team but have also taken place of special memory in every cricket enthusiasts’ heart. One such innings involve Sunil Narine’s quick fire 54 off just 17 balls. The video of this special knock is once again getting viral all over social media.
Sunil Narine pulls off a batting stunner
Sunil Narine has been a crucial player for Kolkata Knight Riders since 2012, helping them win the IPL twice and reach the playoffs on two other occasions. However, prior to 2017, his contributions with the bat were minimal. Despite playing in over 200 T20 matches, he had never scored a half-century. In 2017, he was given the opportunity to bat higher up the order during the Powerplay and he responded in a spectacular fashion.
Through out his knock, he smashed six boundaries and four maximums, playing with a humongous strike rate of 317.64. Resultantly, he was also awarded with player of the match award as well. He was playing well before being caught off by wicketkeeper Kedhar Jadhav off Aniket Choudhary’s ball.

He scored the joint fastest fifty in the history of the IPL, which helped Kolkata Knight Riders chase down 159 in just 15.1 overs. Since then, Narine’s aggressive batting approach has become one of the most entertaining part of the IPL.
