Viral IPL Video: In the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a crucial match in Dubai. It was a game that saw Virat Kohli, the then-captain of RCB, play an outstanding inning that helped his team post a formidable total.
Virat Kohli’s blistering knock against CSK
After winning the toss, Kohli decided to bat first, and despite losing Australian opener Aaron Finch early, young Devdutt Padikkal continued his impressive form with the bat. However, Padikkal could not continue his good run and fell under the pressure of hitting big shots. Soon after, AB de Villiers departed for a silver duck, leaving RCB in a precarious situation.
With only 33 balls remaining in the innings, Kohli was joined in the middle by Shivam Dube. The RCB captain, who was in fine touch, decided to take matters into his own hands and began toying with the CSK bowlers. He smashed 4 fours and 4 sixes in his unbeaten knock of 90 runs off just 52 deliveries.

Kohli’s innings was a show of his masterful batting skills as he punished the CSK bowlers with a wide range of shots. He was particularly severe on CSK’s spinners, hitting them to all parts of the ground. With Dube giving him good support at the other end, Kohli ensured that RCB posted a challenging total of 169 runs on the board.
In the second innings, RCB’s bowlers did a fine job of restricting CSK to 132/8, and the team eventually won the match by 37 runs. Kohli’s unbeaten 90 was undoubtedly the highlight of the game and showcased why he is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world.
