Umran Malik’s record-breaking performance

The match was held at DY Patil Stadium, and PBKS was looking set for a competitive total after a solid start. Malik was given the ball to bowl the last over of the innings, with SRH on 151/6 at the start of the over. He dismissed three batsmen, including two off consecutive deliveries to restrict the team. Malik’s figures at the end of the innings read 4/28 in four overs. The over read W,0,W,W,0,0.

19-year-old Umran Malik made his IPL debut earlier in the season and made an impact in his maiden campaign. He has been bowling at a brisk pace and has troubled the batsmen with his swing and seam movement. Malik hails from Jammu and Kashmir and was picked by SRH in the IPL auctions. In the season, he picked up a total of 22 wickets in 14 matches.

In the 28th match of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Punjab Kings. The Punjab Kings scored a total of 151 runs in their 20 overs with Livingstone contributing 60 runs off 33 balls. On the other hand, Umran Malik picked up 4 wickets for the team. SRH’s Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 3 wickets, while T Natarajan and J Suchith picked up one wicket each. The match is being played at Dr DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai.
