A viral video from ICC ODI World Cup 2023 has created a lot of spark on social media where a cop is stopping Pakistan fan to chant his slogan

Viral Video: This World Cup has been a huge success in terms of sporting actions. But at the same time, this tournament has also seen its fair share of political battles already.

Most of the time, the battles involve our neighboring country Pakistan. Be it the Visa issues or the controversial statement by Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur. Now, another video has gone viral which has divided lots of fans’ opinions.

The videos are from the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 group stage match between Pakistan and Australia on Friday. The video showcases a Bangalore Cop stopping a Pakistan fan from chanting the “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan on the ground.

Controversial Viral Video

The Viral Video features a cop in the stadium asking the Pakistan fans to stop chanting the “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan on the ground. This resulted in a heated argument between these two where the Pakistan fan asked if he was from Pakistan what should he say other than this?

He further asked the cop “When people are chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, then why can’t he chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad?” In response, the police official could be heard saying that you can’t say that.

The fan then asked whether the cop would repeat that on video but the official left at that point in time. Pakistan lost the match by 62 runs.

Social Media Reacts

This viral video has reached every part of India and fans are reacting to it openly now. One user wrote “What Foolishness. They are Pakistani fans, and police not allowing them to chant Pakistan Zindabaad.”

Another user stated, “Indian officials stopped Pakistani fans from chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during the #PAKvAUS #worldcup match in Bengaluru.” He further asked BCCI and ICC to take action.

One Pakistani supporter came out and stated that this is in stark contrast to the healthy support Pakistan is enjoying from the local crowd. That officer does not stand for the several thousand Bengaluru/Karnataka locals, who have cheered for Pakistan. Indian friends and followers have been sharing videos with me.
