Virat Kohli 500: It is a remarkable day for Virat Kohli. 2023 completes 15 years of Kohli in International cricket and today he will achieve another milestone in the form of the 500th International Cricket match.
A rare feat that not many players in the world have achieved. He will become the 10th player worldwide and the 4th Indian player to achieve this feat. And by the looks, it looks like the King still has a few years left at the top level.
In an interview, Rahul Dravid answered why he thinks the star batsman has remained on top of the world for so long and where he sees him in the overall scheme of things currently.
Still At The Top
The Indian team head coach stated that Kohli is still fit and strong and is full of energy and enthusiasm. He further stated that the star batsman has put lots of work behind his career and it shows.
He further stated that Kohli inspires lots of players around the world. “You don’t have to say anything, just by the way you conduct yourself, the way you carry yourself, the way you go about practice and about your fitness, it’s an inspiration to a lot of players coming through the system.”
Part Of His Journey From Start
Rahul Dravid further stated that it has been nice to see Kohli’s journey. When the head coach was still an active player, Kohli came in as a youngster. The coach-player duo played together in the first season of IPL for RCB.
Dravid further stated that being involved with Kohli has been fun and the last 18 months have been amazing. He has enjoyed his time with the star batsman and has learned from him as well.
