The Top 10 most popular sportsperson list released by Ormax Media includes 5 Indian cricketers. The list includes two retired players and three active players. MS Dhoni is on the second position after Virat Kohli while Sachin Tendulkar is on the fourth spot.
The other two Indian cricketers on the list are the current Indian skipper Rohit Sharma in sixth position and Hardik Pandya in 10th position. Other athletes on the list are Sunil Chhetri in seventh, Neeraj Chopra in eighth, and Sania Mirza in ninth.
Ormax Media releases these kinds of lists every month over various genres including movies, superstars, politicians, and even news channels.
Virat Kohli Tops The Chart
The former Indian skipper is at the top of the list while MS Dhoni is at second. Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo is third while World Cup winner Lionel Messi is in fifth position.
It is really a testament to Sachin Tendulkar’s popularity that he is also in the top 5 of this list. After all, it has been more than a decade since his retirement and he is still fresh in everyone’s mind.
