In the country’s cricket history, Virat Kohli, a former captain, has led India to the most victories in tests. In 56 Test matches, the batting icon has guided the Indian cricket team to 38 victories. As India’s captain from 2015 to 2017, Virat Kohli also owns the singular record for the most consecutive Test series victories (9). (equal with Australian legend Ricky Ponting from 2005–2008).

4. Fastest ODI player to reach 10,000 runs

In his cricket career, Virat Kohli has practically smashed most of the top batting records. One of those records, which continues to be the pinnacle of his extraordinary career, is that of being the “fastest to reach 10,000 runs in ODIs.” In 205 innings, Virat Kohli reached the milestone, surpassing legends like Sachin Tendulkar (259 innings) and Sourav Ganguly.

5. Second most number of centuries

Virat Kohli, a batting icon, ranks second on the elite list of most hundreds in the annals of international cricket with 71. In a total of 477 international games throughout his career, Kohli has hit 71 tonnes in a variety of forms. He needs 29 more centuries to pass Sachin Tendulkar (100 international tons).
