Virat Kohli: The Indian Sports Honours is an event that showcases and honors Indian athletes from various sports. At this year’s ceremony, something surprising and incredible happened when Indian comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi was seen touching the feet of famous Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. The ceremony was held at JW Marriott in Juhu, Mumbai on March 23, 2023, and will be broadcast on TV on March 26.
Virat and Bassi’s hilarious moment
A video featuring renowned stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi has been making the rounds online. The video shows Bassi jokingly touching the feet of Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, who responds with a warm embrace. At the beginning of the video, Bassi is seen talking to both Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma. Later, Bassi touches Virat’s feet and is then hugged by the cricketer, who shows appreciation for the gesture.
Since the video has gone viral, fans from all over the world have praised Bassi for his humble act, and also applauded Virat for his kind response. Not only Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, but Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone also attended the event. They were seen posing with Deepika’s father, Prakash Padukone, during the ceremony.

The 2023 Indian Sports Honours will honour Indian athletes who represented their sports between January 1, 2021, and February 28, 2023 with excellence for the nation. Since the awards’ introduction in 2017, this will be the fourth edition. Due to the pandemic, the third edition was a virtual event televised on July 23, 2021, whereas the second edition took place on September 27, 2019.
