Virat Kohli: Early on Saturday, “#Arrest Kohli” was trending on social media due to the murder of a friend by a Virat Kohli supporter from Tamil Nadu who was 21 years old. Both Kohli and Sharma have massive fan bases, but opinions about the better players are frequently divided among them. While friendly banter between fans on social media is very common, killing a friend on the same platform seems a little extreme.
The police confirmed that S Dharmaraj, who is accused of killing P Vignesh, 24, was reportedly drunk at the time of the incident. It was revealed that the victim made fun of RCB and Virat Kohli during the argument, which led to the accused losing his composure and hitting his friend with a cricket bat.

“Both had consumed liquor. As per the initial investigation, Vignesh was supporting Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League (IPL) while Dharmaraj was a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) supporter,” Keelapalur police said.
“During the course of their debate, Vignesh had allegedly mocked RCB and Virat Kohli. Vignesh had the habit of body shaming Dharmaraj, who was a stammerer. On that day he had made some remarks comparing the RCB team to the speaking difficulty of Dharmaraj. This infuriated Dharmaraj who attacked Vignesh with a bottle and later hit him with a cricket bat on the head. Dharmaraj soon fled the spot,” officials said.
However, as Kohli didn’t have a slightest part in this incident, the trend for his arrest seems unlogical for his fans
Virat Kohli is currently getting ready for the upcoming T20 World Cup. He enters the competition with some decent form. The two exhibition games against Western Australia saw Kohli sit out both contests, but he is expected to start tomorrow’s T20 World Cup warm-up match against Australia.
