Virat Kohli: One of the most prolific run scorers, Virat Kohli has set numerous milestones throughout his illustrious career. He and Ricky Ponting both have 71 international century, and only the legendary Sachin Tendulkar has more. However, he has consistently insisted that he is more concerned with doing what is best for the team than he is with achieving individual goals.
Virat Kohli demonstrated this generosity by forgoing the chance to score a half-century against South Africa in the second T20I so India could increase their total.

Dinesh Karthik was on strike for the last over as Kohli was batting with 49 off 28. India’s designated finisher, Karthik, mishandled the opening delivery but connected on the following one. Karthik then ripped a short, wide delivery away for a six after a dot ball and a wide.
After the shot, he approached Kohli and appeared to ask the former captain if he wanted to take a strike with two deliveries left in the innings and Kohli needing just one run for a half-century. But Kohli quickly turned him away and urged him to complete the task for India with the bat. India made 237/3 as Karthik smacked a stunning six over extra cover and the two ran one bye. Watch Video:
Despite David Miller’s outstanding century, South Africa was unable to chase down the total, and India triumphed by 16 runs to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
