Virat Kohli: The Indian team has started their training camp for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Everyone looking fired up to bring the trophy back to him after they lost it in unprecedented fashion last time around.
The practice session on the first day went for 6 hours with 6 batsmen batting in match simulation while everyone got net practice. A total of 15 net bowlers were present in the practice session.
The training camp is not televised but many people went to the stadium to catch their favorite stars and somehow were able to shoot some video. The video of Virat Kohli in nets and having fun has been breaking the internet.
Virat Kohli Fired Up
The former Indian skipper is completely focused and fired up for the tournament. Instead of his usual fun personality during practice, he was serious. And instead of his usual way of playing sensibly, he was aggressive in the nets.
He was shot playing some lofted drives, dominating the leg side, and even stepping down the pitch. It just shows the mindset that Virat Kohli has for the upcoming tournament and how will he approach it.
Shreyas Iyer Fit For Asia Cup 2023
On the first day of Asia Cup 2023, both Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul participated. While KL Rahul only did the net session, Iyer took part in the simulation as well. He was paired up with Virat Kohli and batted for almost an hour.
Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, and Ravindra Jadeja were also seen playing in the simulation. Rahul will join the practice on the third day as he is recovering from a niggle right now. He will also skip the first few matches of the Asia Cup.
