Virat Kohli: The Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who has been in outstanding form during the current T20 World Cup, has been named the ICC Player Of The Month for October 2022. Kohli amassed three half-centuries, including an 82-run match-winning knock against Pakistan. Along with Kohli, Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe and David Miller of South Africa were also finalists, but Kohli ultimately won the prize.
Nida Dar, a senior all-rounder for Pakistan, was named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month as a result of her outstanding play during their Women’s Asia Cup campaign.
Only four innings were played by the 34-year-old Virat Kohli in October, but those four innings produced three unforgettable hits, including a remarkable 82* against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. He has also scored half-centuries in the current competition against Bangladesh and the Netherlands.

“It is a great honour for me to have been voted the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October. Being chosen as the standout player by fans across the globe as well as the panel makes this accolade even more special for me,” Kohli said after winning the award, as per an official ICC release.

“I want to pay tribute to the other nominees who performed so well during the month and also to my teammates, who continue to support me to perform to the best of my ability,” he added.
India was facing certain defeat when Pakistan reduced them to 31/4 as they were chasing 160 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, but Kohli led the charge with an incredible 82* from just 53 deliveries to get Rohit Sharma and company across the finish line.
