Kohli’s sensational catch in IND vs BAN
After Deepak Chahar dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto on the first delivery of the second innings, Bangladesh’s chase had a terrible start. In the tenth over of the chase, Anamul Haque was the next to undertake the difficult route back to the dugout. At that point, Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan teamed up to keep the visitors at bay in the first game.
Shakib’s confident presence at the crease troubled the Indian bowlers even though the Bangladeshi captain fell in the 20th over. However, the southpaw was tricked by Washington Sundar while in flight and mistimed his cover drive, giving Kohli a chance in the short cover region. The athletic Indian star needed no further encouragement as he flew to his right and made a stunning one-handed catch by pulling the ball out of thin air. After completing a sensational grab, the batting champion had a wry smile on his face.

The experienced all-dismissal rounder’s energised the Indian bowlers, who were guarding a modest total on a challenging surface. While Sundar kept things tight at his end and applied pressure to the hosts, Shahbaz Ahmed, his spin bowling partner, continued to occasionally give up boundaries in an effort to relieve the pressure.
